Mark Darling – Story 2

On January 20 of 2010, I received an email from Mark apologizing for walking past me in the hall at church without saying anything and asking for forgiveness for what might have been perceived as rudeness and explaining that he was overcome with emotion due to his daughter’s dire health issues. I, of course, had thought nothing of it at the time and had taken no offense, but with his email, I was amazed at his humility in coming to apologize so seriously for something that was so minor that it didn’t even register in my mind as an offense. This is the real Mark Darling. This is who the man is behind closed doors. He is quick to apologize and be gracious for the slightest thing, all the while he was in the midst of tremendous trials due to Jessica’s illness.
