Mark Darling – Story 5

I was 13 when I first heard Mark Darling preach. It was at a teen conference in Nebraska. God used him to deeply convict me in my lack of Bible reading. He said that “Most Christians are weak, anemic, iron-blooded poor. They are spiritually starving themselves. They refuse to open their spiritual refrigerator and feed on the word of God daily.” When God speaks to you, you know it and it changes the way you live. I started reading the Bible every day for the last 20 years because of his sermon. I also knew after that sermon, that I felt the call of God on my life to become a pastor. It was life altering for a 13-year-old to feel that way!

I am truly grateful for Mark’s life and zeal. The enemy (world, flesh & devil) come after men like him. It is heroic how he has handled such trials. I am now pastoring a church in Lincoln, NE. If Mark never gave that sermon I think my life would have been severely different. God used him in a very powerful way in my life. As a personal life coach, mentor, and friend, he has helped me in my public and private life in a very profound way.
