Mark Darling – Story 19

Before the Rock, I had been traveling from church to church, searching for a home but never feeling at home or wanted. My first night at the Rock I was greeted by a warm community, not to mention a personal introduction from the pastor. I had never been to a church where the pastor made an effort to reach out to every visitor and had shown such a genuine interest in their lives. In the past three years, Mark has continually made me feel welcome, greeting me at the door before church, remembering my name and details of my life, making time to help me when I need wisdom. He has truly made a community that shows their faith in action, devoting themselves to one another, by setting the example of Christian behavior. I am honored to call him a spiritual father.
