Mark Darling – Story 33

Mark Darling has impacted me in many ways over these past 16 years. My initial impression (and it hasn’t faded) was that Pastor Mark is extremely passionate about Jesus Christ and being a true follower of our Lord and Savior. In spite of growing up in the church, I hadn’t seen or heard someone so authentic and focused on their faith and their walk with God. I appreciated the “real talk,” transparency and relevant topics that were so critical to my growth as a young Christian in 2002

Mark Darling’s example (leading out) has catalyzed my own walk with the Lord, a love for the Lord, a love for The Word of God and desire to share that love and the Word with those in my sphere of influence. Pastor Mark’s life is an example of servant leadership, no task is beneath him and no person is insignificant to him. He serves to the extremes and with humility. In spite of all his responsibilities and burdens, he is one of the most accessible and responsive people I have known, period.

Over the years, Mark’s intuition, counsel, and support have been invaluable. These past 5 years have been especially trying and Mark has walked with me and helped me through these difficult passages. I used to work for an outdoor retailer whose motto was “Ask us, We’ve Been There.” That rings true for Mark Darling because he’s walked through many of the trials we face and seek counsel on and often to a much greater degree.

I’ve seen the fruits of Mark’s spiritual walk and the pursuit of God and applying the Word of God in his family, in the ministry God has called him to and in the lives he’s impacted here and abroad. You know the tree by the fruit it produces.

I recently took a trip out of state to be with a group that I’ve been overseas with on mission trips. On the retreat, a brother and a sister in Christ expressed how much Mark Darling has impacted their lives through the truth and experiences he shared through messages.

Recently, a family member of mine started the process of identifying and healing from a past wound. I directed him to a series Mark Darling shared on this specific topic. It helped the family member start the journey of renewal and restoration.

When my own father was in his last days on earth, my family listened to his messages on Heaven. It helped give us perspective and prepare us for this loss, but also for my father’s incredible gain (we caught a glimpse of that gain in his amazing expression on his face when he passed away).

Pastor Mark has imparted wisdom that I use in my daily life, in my work life, family life and provided me with timely encouragement and support. He has been a continual support for me in many different seasons and circumstances of life. He has helped direct me to ministries that I continue to be involved in. Through these opportunities, I’ve been able to share the love of Christ, the Gospel, and minister to many people.

I am extremely grateful for the immense impact Mark Darling has had on my life and the lives of countless others. I praise God that he directed me to The Rock and that our lives intersected here!
