Mark Darling Story
Mark Darling – Story 106
First off, I want to say thank you for everything, your wisdom, life experience, and humor, (I notice that you spent more time attacking The Vikings this year instead of the devil, but that’s another subject for another time.) In small group, we were asked to write a letter, and at first, I was a little hesitant, because I don’t know exactly what to write, but I’m letting God help me. I first started going to the rock in 2008 when it was in the Jefferson high school auditorium in Uptown, and at the time, I felt like my life was stuck in a stalemate, until a former co-worker of mine, Bill, told me about the Rock, what really attracted me to the place was the people who were my age, and your insight, your message, and humor, even though I live only a few blocks away from a generic church, I still prefer to drive a half hour through the busy traffic just to hear your message from you, Karl of Ryan, and you and the Rock have helped me through some difficult times in my life, and I can’t help but wonder, if I never went to the Rock in the summer of 2008, I would most likely continue to spend my Friday nights in some card tables at the casinos and/or some strip clubs getting drunk. I’m glad to say thanks to Jesus, it’s behind me now. To wrap this up, I would like to say I wouldn’t mind having a cup of coffee sometime in the future with you and or son Jeromy. Thank you for putting up with me for the past 9 years, and I hope God continues to Bless You.
