Kathy
In the past 42 years that I have known my husband, Mark, and the 39 years that I have been married to him, I’ve watched his life day in and day out. My husband is an honorable man through and through! And he has exclusive and devoted and loyal love for me only! I have been so grateful and truly blessed for our friendship and companionship that we have shared through all of these years!
I have always known him to be kind, respectful, considerate, treating ALL people with integrity and uprightness, in both his words and his actions. Is he human? Yes. Does he have flaws? Yes, he does. But I know throughout his years of ministry he has done his best to be as open and transparent as he possibly can as well as always trying to make amends where he may have offended or miscommunicated and he has strived to learn and glean whatever he can out of any situation, in order to become a more God-honoring man.
The consistency of his life has been to lay down his life in service to me, our family, and our church family in faithful love and devotion, and his lifestyle backs up his biblical teachings about building Godly habits and developing a closer walk with God, and to be a good advertisement for the Christian faith. This has also been my desire for myself personally as well, on my 45-year journey of knowing Christ personally.
“All praise to God for His goodness and favor! “John 9:24 says:”Give God the credit,…..all glory belongs to God!
Throughout all these years, Mark, your passion, and your spiritual fire have remained still today, as you still strive to spur others along in their faith, encouraging them to live for the purposes of God and making Christ attractive to the world with the light and love and joy of Jesus shining in their lives! This verse has been your lifelong pursuit:
“Him we preach and proclaim, warning and admonishing everyone in all wisdom, that we may present every person mature,( full-grown), (fully initiated),( complete and perfect )in Christ. For this, I labor [unto weariness ]striving with all the superhuman energy which He so mightily enkindles and works within me.”
Col.1:28-29
“And you do all this because you love people deeply and you care about feeding their souls with God’s amazing truth and to help take them deeper in their faith and to become [doers]of God’s Word!
We praise God for : your wisdom, your courage, your openness and transparency, your honesty, your encouragement, your obedience, your humility, your hard work ethic, your perseverance through all of life’s challenges, sufferings, and afflictions that have come your way during ministry; for your growing, confident faith, for your growing patience and tenderness of heart and finally for your fervent love for God and how you are continually making Him your stronghold!
We praise God for the way you have impacted each of us in our entire church body of believers, including our children and their spouses and our 11 precious grandchildren. And as your own wife, I am honored and privileged to serve alongside with you on our journey together for the Lord!
