Mark Darling – Story 138

It’s hard to put into words what kind of impact you have had on our lives.  We thank God for you often – for the wisdom He has given you as you lead our church, for the courage He’s given you to share what you’ve learned as you’ve walked with Him, and for the patience and diligence He’s granted you to stay the course and be an example to us of how to follow Christ for your whole life.  It is a rare thing in today’s world to actually want to follow in someone’s footsteps but as we’ve watched your life and heard your stories, we truly feel like we can follow the example you’ve put forth in your life.  Thank you for modeling what a godly husband and father looks like.  Thank you for being so encouraging in all your words.  Thank you for being so available to us – for laying down your life for us Rockers for all these years.  It is a wonderful thing to know that we can email or call you with any questions we may have and always receive a gracious, kind, and helpful response from you.  Thank you for sharing your weaknesses with us, so that we might know how to work through our own.  Most of all, thank you for always, always pointing us towards our Lord Jesus Christ.  Your passion for Him has been infectious and your pursuit of Christ, contagious.   We can’t really even begin to tell you what that has meant to both of us these past several years.  Your words have consistently challenged us and encouraged us in our faith, and for that, we will always be grateful.  We look forward to serving the Lord alongside you for many years to come.
