Mark Darling – Story 148

Words on paper can’t really express how thankful I am for you in our lives.  You have challenged Jason and I in countless ways in our marriage, parenting and our walk with the Lord! THANK YOU!  I am honored to be one of the original Rockers who were there at the beginning and to have been married to my sweetheart with you in front of us!

I appreciate the accountability that the Rock and small groups has held us too.  I feel that this is so crucial to staying engaged in daily life with Jesus.  I am thankful for every time i bring a new person to the Rock and you welcome them like they are gold-no matter what their appearance or story.  The light of Christ shines brightly in you Mark and it is a strong reminder and encouragement to us “young people” to press on towards the goal.  Thank you for being like a second Dad to me all these years-I know I wouldn’t be raising my kids to seek Christ first if it were not for you Mark!!  Praise God!!!

I asked the kids today during our lesson on John Wycliffe and the Reformation what made you different and believable in comparison to the church in Rome at this time:

Ella said you were real and you lived out what you said.  Bryce said I just really like Mark, he’s kind.  And William said Mark is just so awesome! 🙂

I reminded them that you are a sinner just like anyone else, but that what Ella said is so true.  Mark, you have shared with us how to reach lost people and done exactly what you have said, you have shown us how to walk through pain and trials trusting that God is all you have to put your hope in, you have challenged us to stay the course over and over!

Mark, We truly appreciate all you do! Keep on Following Jesus!  I know you will! 🙂
