Mark Darling – Story 26

Mark’s teaching and counsel have been foundational in my life and in my husband’s life. The example of his habits and disciplines and the legacy that he and his wife began in their four children’s lives have been key to helping us grow as Christians and walk as followers of Christ. Through courtship, engagement, and marriage, Mark has counseled my husband and me in truth, love, and humility about how to love God, obey God, be steadfast in prayer and good works, persevere through difficult times, read the Bible and really glean from its words, and win others to Christ. In good times Mark has rejoiced with us, and in the difficult or very sad times he has empathized and mourned with us. Now, as we look ahead to becoming parents, we feel especially thankful for the foundations of real living faith that Mark has helped to build into us. We are so grateful that Mark lives by and teaches the truth of the Bible. The fruit we have seen in Mark and Kathy’s lives, their children’s lives, and their children’s children’s lives are living proof that Mark loves and obeys God. This gives us great confidence as we face raising children in a wicked world.
