Mark Darling – Story 69

Words do no justice to how much Mark has, through God’s power, helped change my life for the better.  When I first came to the Rock, I was drinking to get drunk, smoking cigarettes, filling empty spaces with unhealthy relationships and using unsafe/unhealthy coping mechanisms to heal old hurts.

I started my friendship with Mark after listening to one of his messages that I disagreed with. I was going to email him and give him a piece of my mind.  Mark was so humble and gracious and talked me through the meaning of the message and the truth to it.

Slowly but surely I started emailing Mark questions about faith and questions about family. Had Mark not developed this fatherly relationship with me, I would not have stayed at the Rock. It is because of Mark, his love, and compassion toward others and his willingness to spend time on people, that my life was changed.

Since attending the Rock, I stopped smoking, got baptized, came to a real relationship with Christ, got counseling, had old wounds healed, met my husband and truly had a life transformed by God’s grace. Had Mark not taken the time on me, this would have NEVER happened. I owe SO much to Mark and his family, and he has never asked for a thing.

My life is forever changed for the better because of the time, love and wisdom of Mark Darling.
