Mark Darling – Story 93

I met both Jeromy and Gretchen at Burnsville Golden Tan before I was introduced to The Strong Disciple website (by a stranger). In the line of work I do I am exposed to all different people on a daily basis. Something about both Jeromy and Gretchen was different. I didn’t know either of them but anytime they came in I noticed they both radiated with this peace and kindness. The first message I listened to was the 1st in the 2012 Grasping Grace series. Mark Darling talks about a post Gretchen made on her Facebook page and I made the connection with the last name and thought “interesting, small world!”. Fast forward 6 years and it makes complete sense to me why both Jeromy and Gretchen are the way you are and have such a positive influence on people they don’t even know. Mark Darling’s love of Christ and the way he shares that in his messages spoke to me in a way that has changed my life. I listen to his messages on my daily walks. He helped me understand the way God truly loves me and what grace means. Mark is one of the main reasons I have the peace, confidence and joy in my life… that I didn’t know was possible. Others in my life have noticed and I’ve shared The Strong Disciple site with so many people. At a time when I was struggling, he set up a time to call me and talk. He gave me probably the best advice I’ve ever received from anyone. Although hard to hear at the time (and he was honest that it would be) it has changed my life for the better and after years of being lost and broken… I understood why, and will never go back to a life without the Lord. No matter what anyone says, I will always honor and respect Mark Darling. He has empowered me to live a meaningful life, and I know I’m not alone when I say that. Others close to me have noticed and me sharing what I’ve learned from him, has impacted their lives positively as well. I will be forever grateful for his service to the Lord and others ❤️
