Mother
My dear son, Mark: Your love for Kathy, your children, and grandchildren has been evident to all who know you; that has been a blessing for me to see over the years. I remember well when you first met Kathy at a Bible Conference some 41 years ago and you couldn’t stop telling us about her. You had met the “love of your life”, and were very anxious for all of us to meet her and we fell in love with her, too. Your children are a testimony to the loving, caring and faithful husband and father that you have been and I love you for that!
You have shown me always love and respect; you encouraged me and your brothers so much after your Dad was gone. You sacrificed your time and money going to Ohio to bring your sister and her two precious little boys to your home, encouraging her with love and care during some difficult days.
You were very concerned about my finances as I faced retirement and sent me $100 every month for several years, even though you had teenagers and younger ones at home. When I finally quit working part-time you again helped me financially until you were convinced I was able to get along well after I moved. I’m very grateful for your loving care over these years, Mark.
I have seen your love and zeal for preaching the Word of God over these 30 some years and your compassion for hurting families with a loving desire to serve them and give them hope. I’m very proud of you, son, for your integrity and compassion for others; you have been a faithful and humble man!
